Victory Garden harvest Thursday May 19 2011
YTD 239 lbs + 5 lbs Monday + 7 lbs today = 251 lbs!!!
Candice and I picked 7 lbs chard, radishes, onions, and some scrawny carrots. I took them to the Food Pantry.
Wednesday Jimmy conducted a tour for a group from the VA Hospital.
Today we sponsored an Ask-A-Master-Gardener booth at the YMCA Senior Expo Fair.
Next work day, Lord willing, we will get the last of the leaves and dirt into the raised beds and set out transplants: squash, cucumber, cantalope, peppers, and tomatoes. That is Monday May 23 from 5-7pm.
Be there or be square. :)

The Collierville Victory Garden and Butterfly Haven is committed to the Memphis Area Master Gardeners' mission to pass on the joy of gardening and UT Extension horticultural knowledge. Through the generosity of the Collierville Christian Church and MAMG, this Plant-A-Row for the Hungry (PAR) garden donates its vegetables to the Collierville Food Pantry, Resurrection Catholic School and Fayette County Project Outreach and its flowers to Page Robbins and Habitat for Humanity.
