Victory Garden status 7/7/2011
YTD 687 lbs + 24 lbs today = 711 lbs!!!

Tuesday July 5:
Carl, Les, Blake, and Irene staked and caged most of the maters and planted carrot seeds and turnip green seeds in the empty spaces in plot 6. Picked a few maters, and retrieved the bucket of cucumbers Janet picked.
Thursday July 7:
Carl pulled barrel of weeds and harvested 24 lbs (tare) cucumbers, maters, bell peppers, top pick purple hull peas, and 1 spaghetti squash, and took to the Food Pantry. I magine we will pick lots of peas on Thursdays from now on. I hope so.
Work needed done next Monday July 11 5-7pm:
Always weeding and watering.
Apply fish emulsion fertilizer to raised beds in plot 4.
Cover weeds in the aisle between plots 1 and 4 with tarp from behind the stockade.
Aint God good!
