What a wonderful week!
We have 1/3 of the fall garden planted ,and yes its real early, but the purplehull peas had played out. We got a much needed soaking rain within an hour of when we planted early Monday morning and again after we planted Monday evening. Aint God good!
And we have received $400 total in donations from five of our garden angel volunteers, with another two donations total $150 pledged. So we have $439.39 in da bank and $150 in da mail and two churches considering donations. I am in the process of spending about $100 on the fall garden and will report that number in a week or two. That should just about cover the rest of this year and most of next year. While we could spend a bunch of money making the garden wire-wood-rock sparkling clean like the beautiful Bobby Lanier Farm Park in Germantown, we would only be helping ourselves and not producing any more food for the needy.
