What a beautiful day to work in the garden. Nice breeze. Wonderful rain yestiddy. Yet my feet were clean when I finished as we have NO MUD due to our diligent mulching.
The sad news is my back gave out before I finished picking the purple hull peas. I picked the far right plot (#4).
CAN SOMEONE GO PICK THE MIDDLE RIGHT PLOT (#5) today and take them to Page Robbins???? Let me know the weight; scales are in our wooden bin.
I obliterated the remaining dirt pile, as requested, and picked 12 lbs peas and beans (about a bushel) and 13 lbs of peppers, basil, maters, cucumbumbers. There should have been a lot of ripe maters (about a peck). ???

I took it all to the Food Pantry.
Harvest report 2013 to date:
966 lbs + 25 = 991 lbs Yea!!!!
We have a good stand of the mustard greens and turnip greens seeds we planted on Monday. We have a couple of watermelons and a few cantaloupes almost ripe.
Next work session is Monday Aug 5 430-6pm in the afternoon.
