Victory Garden status Thursday Sep 5, next work Satidday Sep 07 8am

It was  beautiful sunny but cool morning in the Victory Garden.

Patree and me (that rhymes) picked 42 lbs of maters, bell peppers, jalopenyo peppers, an aigplant, pole beans, one cucumbumber, mustard greens, turnip greens, and crowder peas which she took to the Collierville Food Pantry.

Whit mowed and prepared plot 2 for Satiddy morning planting!!!!

 

I watered and sprayed our beautiful 156 new cabbige sets which have overcome transplant shock and are standing at attention in the warm sunshine doing photosynthesis.

 

 

Harvest total 2013 to date:
1,564 lbs YTD + 42 lbs = 1,606 lbs new YTD.

Next work day is 0730am Satiddy morning to do some of the to-do list below. RSVP to me if you can be there.  

To do list:

1. Pull pea vines out of plot 3.

2. Layoff and plant plots 2 and 5 (middle plots) turnip greens.

3. Plant skips in the existing greens patches.
