Victory Garden Thursday Sep 26 2013, Next work day Satiddy 8am plant plot 6 Monday 8am pick greens

Another beautiful morning. ALL the seeds have sprouted. Oh me of little faith!

Cathy Robinson and I did some weeding and harvesting and spreading cardboard (we both brought a stack) where there is grass in the walkways.

We harvested 18 lbs of maters, jalapenyo peppers, bellpeppers, aigplants, a watermelon, and 56 lbs of mustard greens and turnip greens.

She took 10 lbs to a needy family and I took the rest to the Food Pantry.

Harvest total 2013 to date:

  1,982 TD + 64 lbs = 2,046 lbs new YTD. OVER a ton!  

Saturday morning 8am, Lord willing, we will hill up and plant plot 6 (BIG THANKS to WHIT for preparing that plot), and put the weed piles in the dumpster.

We will pick greens, Lord willing, on Monday morning 8am.
