In the last week:
last Tuesday: Jamila and Stephanie weeded the zinnia beds, cinder block beds, watered, and began weeding the central walkway
Thursday: Carl mowed and fertilized all the new plants
Friday: Teresa and Stephanie weeded the central walkway
Monday: Teresa moved mulch into the central walkway... it looks awesome!
Tuesday: 15 Central Church day campers visited the Garden. With Stephanie, Jan, Twila, Teresa, and Carl, they harvested potatoes, red/white onions, weeded in the harvested onion bed and planted comfrey, planted more hot pepper plants in cinder block holes, finished planting the sweet potatoes, added garden markers to the garden plants, added the harvested waste to the composters, taste tested fresh mint in lemonade, and began harvesting the garlic. They will deliver the harvested produce to the Collierville Food Pantry when they visit on Thursday.
Future work opportunities:
On Wednesday, Carl will be at the garden early 7:30am, Stephanie from 9:30-11. Please join us to complete the following:
-mowing
-weed, weed, weeding
-spraying the mustard greens and beans and cabbage with witch hazel mix
-watering
-laying the rest of the landscape fabric
On Thursday, Carl will be at the garden at 7:30 am to harvest mustard greens and deliver to the food pantry
Next Tuesday at 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm, Girl Scouts will be at the Garden weeding the zinnia beds.

The Collierville Victory Garden and Butterfly Haven is committed to the Memphis Area Master Gardeners' mission to pass on the joy of gardening and UT Extension horticultural knowledge. Through the generosity of the Collierville Christian Church and MAMG, this Plant-A-Row for the Hungry (PAR) garden donates its vegetables to the Collierville Food Pantry, Resurrection Catholic School and Fayette County Project Outreach and its flowers to Page Robbins and Habitat for Humanity.
