Work Progress:
On Monday Lauryce, Twila, Val, Carolyn, Teresa, and Stephanie harvested 123 lbs for The Salvation Army and Lauryce delivered.  Carolyn, Teresa, and Stephanie worked on taming the weeds of plot 4 and Stephanie reseeded the northern-most/outer raised bed with crowder peas and watered. Stephanie continued her war on squash borers.

On Tuesday morning Twila, Jessica, Dylan, Cori and Stephanie watered the garden and planted a few onion sets donated by Mr. Herschel where the acorn squash plant succumbed to the evil borers. Dylan and Cori sprayed the rutabaga leaves with witch hazel mix. They also harvested some comfrey leaves and "seedless" (thanks to the birds) sunflower stalks and added to the compost barrels. Stephanie ordered some BT and a new gallon pressure sprayer to hopefully get a handle on the leaf eaters (and squash borers) of the future fall crops.

On Tuesday evening Twila, Judy, and Stephanie assisted many girl scouts in the zinnia harvest for Dove Rehab Center and Paige Robbins. Judy's husband sprayed a vicious wasp nest. Much was harvested for Thursday's donation to the Collierville Food Pantry. The Girl Scouts were also quality control testers for two varieties of watermelon. What wasn't eaten was fed to the composers.

On Thursday Carl, Twila, Carolyn, Teresa, and Stephanie harvested for the C'Ville Food Pantry and Carolyn and Stephanie delivered.
