Tuesday 8 July 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Assist girl scouts with zinnia harvest, start zinnia seeds in a half dozen pots and place in P4H plot, little garden maintenance, harvest chicken wire potatoes
Thursday 10 July 8 am - 9 am: Harvest for Food Pantry, water where necessary
This week's work report:
Tuesday morning 1 July: Amy, Patree, and Stephanie pulled all of the corn stalks in plot 4 and planted crowder peas in the northernmost 3 wooden raised beds.
Tuesday evening 1 July: Assisted by Jan, Jeanne, Arlene, Jessica, Corinne, and Stephanie, Girl Scouts harvested about 10 mason jars full of zinnias and sunflowers and delivered them to Dove Rehabilitation Center and Paige Robbins Adult Day Care Center. Harvested 27 lbs of cucumbers, beans, okra, peppers, couple of tomatoes.
Thursday morning 3 July: Carl and Patree harvested 14 lbs of corn, cukes, tomatoes and Carl delivered this week's harvest to the Collierville Food Pantry. Kathy, Jessica, Corinne, and Stephanie moved the corn stalks out of the compost area temporarily for next week's work plan, moved the pallets out of the garden and stored them behind the compost fence, planted crowder peas, rutabagas, beets, carrots, and radishes in the two remaining wooden raised beds in plot 4, spread a little straw at the end of the gourd walkway, sprayed corn silks in north cinder block beds with witch hazel, added a little nitrogen to plot 6 corn, and built a tepee in plot 6.

The Collierville Victory Garden and Butterfly Haven is committed to the Memphis Area Master Gardeners' mission to pass on the joy of gardening and UT Extension horticultural knowledge. Through the generosity of the Collierville Christian Church and MAMG, this Plant-A-Row for the Hungry (PAR) garden donates its vegetables to the Collierville Food Pantry, Resurrection Catholic School and Fayette County Project Outreach and its flowers to Page Robbins and Habitat for Humanity.
