Work Progress:

On Tuesday April 7, Twila, Jan, and Stephanie. Twila and Stephanie moved some old, possibly stink bug egg infected compost as well as some donated grass clipping bags to the dumpster then they weeded the back central/main walkway and started weeding plot 4. Jan "harvested" a couple of wagons full of dirt from the corner of the parking lot and added it to plot 3. Stephanie filled the bird feeder and placed the new "upcycled" plant ID tags in plot 6. Jan and Stephanie continued weeding plot 4 and moved old archway bean pots/soil into plot 1 raised beds. They discussed work plan for upcoming Roots and Shoots Club visit. They talked with Jamila about upcoming summer visits of the Girl Scouts. Sophia delivered coffee grounds from the Donut Hutt and more 3 gallon weed buckets.
On Wednesday April 8, Twila, Jan, and Stephanie. They met to talk near-term garden workplan, upcoming group visits, placement of comfrey and borage plot at end of archway walkway between plots 5 and 6. They moved cardboard. Jan tilled plots 1 and 3. Twila and Stephanie pulled up old landscape fabric and started leveling out back walkway. Jan totally leveled and terraced plot 3 so very nearly ready for landscape fabric and new raised beds.
On Thursday April 9, Stephanie harvested last 3 lbs of beet greens out of plot 4 and delivered to the Collierville Food Pantry. She moved all window "a-frames"/coldframes to behind the compost area for storage; started making a dirt "berm" to protect the back water spigot station from rain run-off; added extra dirt from walkway between plots 4 and 5 into one of the raised beds in plot 1.
