to a Harris Cove neighbor of Ms. Julia on August 17 and 23, 2015 = 18 lbs

August 17 Harvest:
On August 17, Teresa, Jan, Twila, Stephanie: re-staked tomato cages, started deconstructing one of the hay bale beds, harvested 17 lbs and delivered to Harris Cove neighbor.
On August 18, Jan and Stephanie: potted up some celosia for Habitat, cleaned up sunflowers in the zinnia beds, harvested 9 lbs of tomatoes and okra (held for Thursday's delivery), killed squash and cuke bugs on new cucumber plants, discovered cuke bugs had gotten to the cantaloupes..., cut sweet potato vine off of 2-3 main roots in plot 5.
On August 20, Jan, Twila Stephanie harvested 22 lbs of cowpeas, okra, and tomatoes as well as 11 pounds of cantaloupe. Patree delivered a total of 57 lbs (42 total from Tuesday and Thursday as well as 15 from last week's sweet potatoes) to the Food Pantry. Worked on compost. De-suckered Arkansas Traveler tomatoes. Killed squash bugs on pumpkins as well as added cloth liner beneath watermelon vines, picked up umbrella and stand, picked up donated shingles from nearby church worksite.
On August 22, Jan, Twila, Stephanie added clay/sand mix and compost and 15.5-0-0 fertilizer to 6 different raised beds in plots 3 and 5. Jan tilled everything in. Sowed swiss chard in plot 5 empty bed. Winterbor kale, southern giant and savanna hybrid mustards, georgia collards, gonzalez cabbage, little gem lettuce sowed in plot 3 prepared beds. Twila started new compost in spinners. Harvested 1 lb okra + some hot peppers.
On August 23, Stephanie and son harvested a little more okra and delivered all okra to Harris Cove neighbor.
