Work Progress:
On Tuesday April 12 - Jan, Arlene, Teresa, Twila, Janet, Mary, Stephanie prepped for intern visit. Then Jan and Twila visited Crosswind Elementary “Roots and Shoots” garden club to talk composting.
On Wednesday April 13 - Leah, Jan, Teresa, Val, Dianne, Janet, Judy, Arlene, Susan P., Stephanie and Twila hosted the 2016 MAMG interns during a visit to CVG. Stations included dividing and planting perennials, side-dressing garlic and cabbage and planting vegetable transplants, “bad” garden bugs and seeding using toilet paper, and composting.
On Thursday April 14 - Twila, Teresa, Stephanie harvested 21 lbs of mustard greens, red mustard greens, red romaine lettuce, turnips and mini bok choy. Stephanie delivered to the Collierville Food Pantry.
