Work Progress:
On Monday May 9 - Teresa, Janet, Patree, and Stephanie harvested 13 lbs for a family in need (Patree delivered) and 32 lbs to Fayette County Project Outreach (Shona delivered). Hilled potatoes in plot 4 with pro-mix. Pulled plastic off plot 6 tomato trial beds. Used landscape pins to secure the Big Bertha pepper cages in plot 2.
On Tuesday May 10 - Stephanie sprayed BT on cole crops.
On Wednesday May 11 - Twila and Jan filled the last two zinnia beds with pro-mix/compost, transplanted volunteer zinnias, covered beds with pine needles and watered. They planted a purple homestead verbena and a red verbena one of the front demo beds. Jan brought some Shasta daisies to add to plot 8.
On Thursday May 12 - Twila, Teresa, Patree, Leah, and Stephanie harvested 9 lbs for the Collierville Food Pantry (Patree delivered) and 42 lbs for Resurrection Catholic School (Patree delivered). Topped tomato trial beds in plot 6 with promix/compost.
On Saturday May 14 - Twila, Val, and Stephanie hosted 8 Schilling Farms Middle School Junior Beta Club students to weed, move compost and pro-mix, and plant sweet potato slips and marigolds. Started new batches of compost in the spinner bins.
On Sunday May 15 - Twila checked on the garden and newly planted seedlings, watered zinnia beds.
