Work Progress:
On Monday May 23 - Jan and Twila worked in the perennial beds. Twila, Teresa, Janet, and Stephanie harvested 20 lbs of cabbage and onions, 31 lbs of lettuce, carrot, and strawberry, and 5 lbs of mustard greens for the Fayette County Project Outreach. Delana delivered. Added string trellis to one of the plot 3 boxes, planted cowpeas.
On Tuesday May 24 - Stephanie manually ran the irrigation zones, confirmed about 1/4” irrigation per 20 minutes. Moved some stakes into plot 6. Sprayed a gallon of BT on cole crops. Worked on ID plates.
On Wednesday May 25 - Stephanie picked up coffee grounds from Starbucks. Checked on garden after 0.25” rainfall.
On Thursday May 26 - Patree, Joan, Lydia, Thea, Leah, Stephanie, and Vicky harvested 12 lbs of lettuce and red onion, and 5 lbs of mustard for the Collierville Food Pantry. Patree delivered. Then harvested 37 lbs of lettuce, 9 lb cabbage, 4 lb mustard greens, 21 lbs onions, carrots, and beets for Resurrection Catholic School. Patree delivered. Harvested an additional 10 lbs of cabbage, lettuce, onions, carrots for a family in need. Patree delivered. Planted 36 marigolds, some basil, Mexican tarragon, parsley, lemon balm. Planted some rattlesnake beans, in western archway boxes. Weeded in plot 1 and plot 4. Sidedressed cabbages in plot 1.
On Friday May 27 - Jan placed ID tags on perennials and worked in plots 7 and 8.
On Saturday May 28 - Stephanie sprayed BT on all cabbage and neem on mustard greens. Moved verona tomatoes back inside their cages.
